Product descriptions are provided to help customers make informed purchasing decisions. Measurements, weights, colors, sound descriptions, resistance levels, and other characteristics may vary slightly between individual units or production batches.

Sound and tactile feedback may also be affected by:

Surface contact
Room acoustics
Recording equipment
Natural production tolerances

Terms such as “crisp,” “muted,” “dense,” “smooth,” or “controlled” describe general handling characteristics and are not guarantees that every customer will experience the object identically.

4. Materials, Finishes, and Natural Variation

Premium EDC materials and finishes may develop visible changes through handling and use.

These may include:

Patina on brass and copper
Handling marks on polished surfaces
Variation in stonewashed or bead-blasted finishes
Minor differences in anodized or flame-treated colors
Wear around coated edges
Slight differences in machining or surface texture

Such characteristics are not automatically considered defects when they are consistent with the product description, manufacturing process, material, and intended use.

Product photographs are prepared to represent objects as accurately as reasonably possible. However, display settings, lighting, photography, and device screens may affect how colors and surfaces appear.

5. Sourcing and Brand Relationships

Koda Machined sources products through selected makers, studios, distributors, retailers, and other verified channels.

Any relationship description used on the website is intended to reflect the status known to us at the time of publication.

We use terms such as “Official Partner,” “Authorized Dealer,” or “Official Distributor” only when that status has been confirmed.

Where formal authorization has not been established, we may use descriptions such as:

All third-party brand names, product names, trademarks, and logos remain the property of their respective owners.

6. Availability and Limited Production

Many products offered by Koda Machined are produced in small batches, limited material editions, or irregular production runs.

Availability may change without notice. Adding an item to your cart does not reserve it.

We may limit the quantity available to an individual customer, household, payment method, billing address, shipping address, or order when reasonably necessary to:

Distribute limited stock fairly
Prevent fraudulent transactions
Prevent unauthorized resale
Correct an inventory error
Comply with applicable law or supplier restrictions

If an item becomes unavailable after you place an order, we will contact you and offer an appropriate resolution, which may include a refund, replacement, alternative product, or revised fulfillment estimate.

7. Pre-Orders and Made-to-Order Products

Estimated production and dispatch dates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed delivery dates. Delays may occur because of:

Cancellation eligibility may depend on whether production, sourcing, allocation, packing, or shipment has begun. Customized, engraved, or made-to-order items may not be eligible for cancellation or return except where defective or where required by law.

8. Orders and Contract Formation

Submitting an order is an offer to purchase the selected products under these Terms.

An automated order confirmation acknowledges that we have received your order. It does not necessarily mean that the order has been accepted.

Unless applicable law provides otherwise, an order is accepted when we confirm fulfillment or dispatch.

We may review, decline, limit, or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including when:

A product is unavailable
Pricing or product information contains an obvious error
Payment cannot be authorized
The order appears fraudulent
The order appears intended for unauthorized resale
Shipping to the destination is unavailable or restricted
The order may violate applicable law or payment-provider requirements

If we cancel an order after payment has been collected, the applicable amount will be refunded to the original payment method.

9. Prices and Payment

Product prices are displayed in the currency selected or indicated on the website.

Prices may change without notice, but a later price change will not normally affect an order already accepted, except where there is an obvious pricing error or where applicable law permits correction.

Payment must be completed using one of the methods available at checkout.

Payment transactions may be processed by Shopify, Shopify Payments, PayPal, card networks, banks, or other third-party payment providers. Their own terms and privacy practices may apply.

You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate billing, payment, and contact information.

We may use reasonable fraud-prevention measures and may request additional verification before accepting or fulfilling an order.

10. Taxes, Customs Duties, and Import Charges

Orders may be shipped internationally.

Unless checkout or the product page clearly states otherwise, the customer may be responsible for import duties, customs fees, taxes, brokerage charges, and other destination-country charges.

These charges are determined by local authorities and are not controlled by Koda Machined.

Customers are responsible for confirming whether a product can be lawfully imported, possessed, or used in their destination.

If a parcel is refused, abandoned, or returned because import charges were not paid or local requirements were not completed, any refund will be handled according to our Returns & Refunds Policy and applicable law. Shipping, customs, handling, and return costs may be deducted where legally permitted.

11. Shipping and Delivery

Shipping methods, estimated delivery periods, tracking availability, and other fulfillment information are described in our Shipping Policy and at checkout.

Delivery estimates are not guaranteed unless expressly stated.

Delivery may be affected by circumstances including:

Customs inspections

Public holidays
Incorrect or incomplete addresses
Remote destination handling

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.

If an address appears incomplete or inaccurate, we may contact you before dispatch. We are not responsible for delays or additional costs caused by incorrect information supplied by the customer, except where required by law.

12. Returns, Refunds, and Exchanges

Returns, refunds, cancellations, damaged-item claims, and replacements are governed by our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Because tactile EDC objects may contain precision surfaces, magnets, springs, bearings, plates, liners, screws, detents, and other small components, products that have been disassembled, tuned, modified, lubricated, repaired, damaged, or used beyond reasonable inspection may not qualify for return.

The Returns & Refunds Policy forms part of these Terms.

If there is any conflict between these Terms and a product-specific return notice clearly presented before purchase, the product-specific notice will apply to that product, subject to applicable law.

13. Damaged, Incorrect, or Defective Products

Customers should inspect an order after delivery.

If an item arrives damaged, incorrect, incomplete, or apparently defective, contact:

Please include your order number and clear photographs or video showing the issue.

Keep the product, original packaging, accessories, and shipping materials until the claim has been reviewed.

Depending on the circumstances, we may provide:

Replacement components

Another resolution agreed with the customer

Nothing in this section limits rights provided by applicable consumer law.

14. Product Modification and Disassembly

Some products allow adjustments to magnets, springs, balls, bearings, plates, screws, or other components.

Unless the product description states otherwise, the ability to open or adjust an object does not mean that modification is beginner-friendly or covered against accidental damage.

Customers are responsible for damage caused by:

Incorrect disassembly
Lost components
Reversed or incorrectly positioned magnets
Bent springs
Stripped screws
Improper lubrication
Unauthorized parts
Excessive force
Incorrect reassembly

Before opening or modifying an object, review any maker instructions and document the original configuration.

Modification may affect return eligibility and any applicable maker warranty.

15. Reviews, Comments, and User Content

You may submit reviews, photographs, videos, feedback, questions, or other content where these features are available.

You remain responsible for content you submit.

You must not submit content that:

Is false, misleading, defamatory, threatening, abusive, or unlawful
Infringes intellectual property, privacy, or other rights
Contains malicious software
Includes personal information about another person without permission
Misrepresents your identity or relationship with a product or brand
Contains undisclosed commercial promotion or spam

By submitting content for public display on our website or social channels, you grant Koda Machined a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, format, and display that content for operating and promoting the website and our products.

This license does not apply to private customer-service communications unless you separately agree to publication.

We may remove or decline to publish content that violates these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without limiting any mandatory protections available to consumers under the laws of their place of residence.
