The new LAUTIE Gumbeats Clicker takes a different approach. Instead of building the experience around one enclosed mechanism, Gumbeats is made from individual magnetic segments that can be connected, separated and rearranged.

LAUTIE describes it as the latest object in its SpyWars series, built around the idea of sharing: much like offering someone a piece of gum, owners can detach several Gumbeats pieces and hand them to another person.

It is a playful concept, but the modularity also has a direct effect on sound and handling.

One mechanism, several configurations

Gumbeats is available in standard 2-piece, 4-piece and 8-piece sets. The individual pieces are held together by a strong magnetic system and can be disassembled without treating the factory configuration as permanent.

Gumbeats keeps the direct magnetic snap but removes the idea of a single enclosed clicker. Each segment becomes part of the mechanism, allowing the user to change the length, number of contact points and rhythm of the object.

LAUTIE also confirmed during the launch discussion that Gumbeats shares its structural principle with the clicker component used in the Lotto. According to the brand, Gumbeats was developed first, and a simplified version of the mechanism was later applied to Lotto.

Stainless steel or zirconium

Gumbeats is being offered in two standard materials:

Both are regular editions rather than numbered limited releases.

The material choice is likely to matter most in three areas:

This is unlikely to be a discreet office fidget, particularly in the larger configurations. Users interested in Gumbeats are more likely to value:

The discussion also exposed the main practical concern: detachable pieces require storage discipline. A modular clicker is easy to separate and share, but it is also easier to misplace than a single enclosed object.
